The Chicco Kidfit is on sale on Amazon. This is an excellent booster that I regularly recommend.

Who is it for?

A booster without straps is for kids over age 5 AND over 40 lbs. They must be able to sit up and sit still for the whole car ride and ideally stay awake. This is not as easy as it sounds!

What are the pros and cons of the Chicco Kidfit?

Pros:

• Easy to install and adjust

• Has optional latch to keep it in place when the child isn’t in it and when the child is climbing in

• Plush and comfy for kids

• Turns into a backless booster afterwards

• Fits physically smaller booster riders (above the minimums) very well

Cons:

• Has a lower top torso height than other boosters. May be outgrown early in high back booster mode for kids with a longer torso

• Not super narrow; doesn’t work in many 3 across situations

• Not compatible in cars with fixed headrests that protrude forward.
